Since your new fiberglass pool is not manufactured on-site, the installation can be much faster, and requiring fewer subcontractors than are needed to build a gunite or vinyl liner swimming pool.
A routine fiberglass pool installation can be completed in just days, to be ready to proceed with the decking or landscaping of your choice.

| EXCAVATION |

DIGGING THE HOLE |
|
Once financing is secured and required permits have been issued, your contractor and excavator will schedule and begin the excavation process.
The trenches for plumbing and electrical lines will be dug, and the excavation of the pool site will begin. Following the specifications on the detailed excavation diagram, the hole will be dug a little wider and longer to accommodate plumbing. |
The hole will be deeper than the pool shell, to allow for the placement of sand. sand will be delivered and placed in the finished hole to cushion the pool shell and will be used as a leveling medium.

INSTALLING THE EQUIPMENT |

While excavation is underway, the equipment pad, pump and filter, time clock and other accessories may be installed. If a standard light is being installed, an electrician may install the wiring. If a heater or other accessories are being installed, the gas lines will be run at this time. |

BACKFILLING |
|
The pool will be lifted off the delivery trailer and set into the hole to check for the accuracy of the excavation. It is not unusual for the pool to be lifted and the sand re-groomed more than once.
Once set, the leveling and backfilling will begin. During backfilling, sand is washed around and under the shell to level the pool and support the pool and the weight of the water. |
Water is introduced into the pool at the same rate as the backfill around the pool, to maintain equal pressure on both sides of the pool walls. Your water pressure will control the speed of the backfilling and filing process.
The plumbing will be assembled and pressure tested. Electrical and plumbing inspections will be requested as necessary. The equipment will be started up, the final backfill will be completed, and the pool shell will be allowed to stabilize for a few days before installing the deck.
At this point your new pool is complete and you can enjoy your new backyard paradise! |
